JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Scope: To oversee the day-to-day performance of all aspects of store operations, and providing support to management in maintaining a consistent high standard of customer service in an efficient and positive team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner when dealing with all customers, addressing customers' requests, comments, and complaints.

·       Ensure that all customer feedback (negative, positive, constructive) is communicated to the relevant person immediately to allow appropriate action to be taken. Where complaints are serious or outside your level of authorization, liaise with a more senior Manager where necessary.

·       In the absence of management, responsible for opening and closing the store, end of day recovery, deliveries, stock management and cashing up at the end of the day.

·       Monitor shelve stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store.

·       Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock.

·       Organise workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or delegated tasks, with issued timelines adhered to.

·       Communicate set targets and store KPI’s as given by the business.

·       Have a full knowledge of our product catalogue (www.elverys.ie) and with current promotions merchandised to the company’s standards.

·       Engage with and profile our customers to offer the best products for our customer’s needs and optimise sales.

·       Play an active and participative role in helping to ensure our sustainability goals are achieved, with all policies and initiatives implemented.  

·       Use all the tools we have in the store including Assisted Selling, footwear measuring service, Footbalance, Gait Analysis, e-receipts, radio systems etc.

·       Coordinate and forward cash, stock, financial reports and other administration to the relevant personnel in the absence of the management team. 

·       Ensure staff observe strict security procedures when dealing with all POS transactions, ensuring all policies and procedures are complied with.

·       Maximise in-house selling whenever possible and to maintain an awareness of all sales and up-selling opportunities

·       In the absence of management liaise with Human Resources over any performance or absence management concerns.

·       Ensure adherence to legal and company policies, having a thorough knowledge of Company Policy and Procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

·       Actively participate in staff training, coaching and mentoring.

·       Ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, your colleagues, customers and any third party service providers on the premises at all times.

·       Report any defects, damage, theft, breakages or hazards to ensure that equipment is functioning and well maintained.

·       Secure the company's stock and property by remaining security conscious across the store.

·       Ensure that any incidents or accidents are reported to the relevant Manager and recorded in accordance with Company Accident Reporting Procedures.

·       Be aware of both environmental concerns and energy conservation throughout your workplace.

·       Responsible for processes associated with daily deliveries and adequate stock management procedures.

·       Responsible for ensuring end of day recovery is carried out completely and to the standard as set out by the Company.

·       Back-up call out person in the absence of store management in the event of alarm activation.

·       Work closely with Management to continuously improve standards within the Company including cost efficiencies, customer service and facility management.

·       Report to Management, on a confidential basis, any activity that could be damaging to employment, customer experience or the Company.

·       Take responsibility for personal development and actively seek opportunities for improvement.  Carry out training as required.

·       Carry out other duties as and when required.
